I'm from Airdrie so not far out at all. I used to use the Glenbrew shop when doing kits or looking for some extract but not been in for ages now I do AG brewing. As said previously, their hops are well over priced and yeast wise its really limited also. They have crushed lager malt down as £52 for 25kg!! They are handy for bottles etc though I as picked up boxes of 20 at a time for buttons I seem to recall.

Good to know there are some more homebrewers local, most in my work are alien to it and think of Boots kits from the 70's (I wasn't born then so wouldn't know)

I'm not far from you Rhodsey, am in Glenboig.

I still use Glenbrew but do kits so their lack of grains and limited yeast doesn't really affect me too much. Their bottles are pretty cheap tho.

I'm gonna dip my toe into extract and try a one gallon AG over Christmas holidays, see how it goes.

Yeah not to far at all! Extract is a great way to get into hop additions and doing some experimenting, I done extract for around 4 years before moving to AG only this January.
