That's interesting I took the chemical TCP kind of smell to be from oxygen in beer but... its only the bottle brew that went bad the rest in barrel has turned out pretty well.
wonder if I didn't rinse well enough after sterilizer and the solution messed up in the bottles? I was over zealous with solution wanting to maker certain sterile perhaps that was my error.
My whole airlock question was to get a guide as see some use it some don't.
