These new cameras can see if you are on the phone, not wearing a seatbelt, driving under the influence etc.

Will new AI cameras improve road safety or will they be a major pita when they flag drivers trying to dodge potholes and flooded roads?

Joking aside cameras scanning the inside of cars has raised the usual arguments about privacy do you think these are a good or bad idea?

As one post said -

I'm not sure why eating and drinking is a thing.

The Police have confirmed many times that it's not illegal, although if you were to lose your concentration, you could be done for careless driving.
But it's highly unlikely.

This was the first video i saw and he mentions eating and drinking but in the video in the OP it doesn't, maybe he means if you caused an accident they could look back at the camera footage and check to see if you were holding anything in your hands, itll be cigarettes and vapes next?

The cameras have been in Australia for about 5 years now. I can't see what could be so important to be texting while driving. Privacy should take a back seat if the cameras are saving lives.
