guys

I'm looking to do my first extract kit and want to eventually move into ag

I'm deciding wot to do for a copper (and eventually a hlt)

I've decided I can either make one from a plastic fv or I've found a deal for a 50l ss for £45

wot do you all think? I thnk I might need to suck it up and just go for the pot- it's bigger and ss...

thanks am, I think I'm just scared of telling my wife I'm going to spend more money on this effin brewry...

You're not spending money on the brewery.

You are saving money, it's a bargain, as it's much cheaper than buying beer in the supermarket. Thats what you tell her anyway.

Same as when she goes shopping in the sales and comes home with loads of unnecessary things as they were a bargain, and she tells you she has actually saved you some money.

ha! steve, it def sounds like you're talking from experience!!

When you've bought as much as I have you get well rehearsed.

The shopping list roughly

New garden shed, to relocate the contents of the garage into :)
Kitchen sink and plumbing stuff for the garage for cleaning of brew equipment.
First All Grain Brewery, 30 Litre plastic buckets and a cool box for a Mash Tun
A few plastic kegs, at one point I had 7.
New shiny brewery (2x 70 Litre ss pots, plus a 50 Liter SS Thermopot)
Gas burner, extractor fan, various pipework and plumbing, March May pump.
Another new shed, more space needed in the garage.
Lots of cornies (11)
Temperature controllers etc for the various fridges for fermenting conditioning and the kegerator.
Shiny beer taps, gas, regulators,
Stir plate

etc....

You get the idea.

But at the end of the day I ended up with this so it's all worth it.

Which enables me to make this Weisse beer amongst others.
