I currently brew with a 100L capacity (50L maximum batch length) three vessel set up. A close friend has a (very) small property in Greece and as I head towards retirement, I'd like to set up a system in this second location. Because chilling water would be an issue at the Greek location, I have just tried my first no-chill brew here which seems to have worked out OK. Now that I'm comfortable with that part of the process, I'm considering an all-in-one system for Greece.
I've never seen one in action, and I don't really understand how they work but I'm keen to understand them as with space at a premium I'm trying to carry on brewing (probably 25L batches) when in Greece.
If it helps with general advice, I brew English style ales with a slight leaning towards simple American pales. I rarely if ever dip into dry hopping.
It's likely that whatever system I buy would be sourced in the UK and taken over in the car as Greek prices for many things (other than small houses) seem to be higher than in the UK.
Any advice gratefully received and if there are any brewers in the Midlands area that have an all-in-one I could view in action, I'm in Rutland, midway between Leicester and Peterborough.

I would watch several Youtubes to see how other people brew with AIO's and also see if a local member could let you brew with them so you can have a go hands on

If space is an issue, you can properly all do EVERYTHING in one, in a braumeister. Including overnight, no chill and fermentation.
From Grain to bottle.

I have been building a best of breed AIO (can I use EIO) recently and certain limitations current kit have become apparent.

I know someone who has a very nice, almost new braumeister BM20 for sale at a large discount over new, 40 mins drive from Rutland! I could throw a demonstration brew into the deal wink...

Seriously though, I would trawl youtube - my recommendations:-

  • homebeerbrewery - dutch guy has done lots of videos on braumeisters. (although has moved on to a Brewtools B80 just recently)
  • Homebrew Griffo - lots of videos on Grainfathers - G30 and now the G40.
  • Bragdy Bach Homebrew - has a Brewtools B40, although these look very complicated over and above the base set up.
  • Get Er Brewed have done a few videos where they put a few all in ones side by side.
  • And David Heath's channel he does a lot of kit reviews.
There are a lot of threads on here too for best AIOs, although everyone seems to favour their own generally. So probably watch some videos and make your own mid up, strong opinions can be very hard to wade your way through.
