I'm an occasional colossal pisshead, it was hard to come up with a list as dad tends to have a slab of cheap lager on the go that I'm forced to dip into.

1. Barneys Beetroot Beer. An abomination but I forced it down.
2. White Lightning
3. Miller lite (i used to live next door to a shop that sold it for 69p a can, think I was their best customer even though I knew my quality beer by then)
4. Buckfast
5. That unloved cask ale that the pubs have that you know will have gone off due to low turnover but you have to try anyway

What about that raki stuff...drank a tray of that on hols in Greece...ended up crawling on the floor...pissed as a handcart...

Oh I've never seen that. Must look out for it if we ever get to travel there.

Spiced Rum
Southern Comfort
Carlsberg
Carling
Port, although thats a lie, I will drink it again but I wish I wouldn't, it gives me terrible hangovers.

Whiskey - made myself very ill one Christmas when i was a kid by drinking way too much cannot stand the smell now.

Lager - the fosters type ones i haven't toughed one since i discovered proper beer.

Sherry.

Advocaat.

Gin. (original not flavoured)

I am mostly the same as you on this, got issed on whiskey as a 16 year old cant smell it now
Poor quality larger never drink
Plain Gin tastes like potporee to me
JOhn smiths - tastes like creamy chemicals

1. Jagermeister (especially dropped in red bull)
2. Sambuca (for much the same reason)
3. Neat tequila (see above)
4. Pernod
5. Underberg (remember those? Not sure if their alcoholic, but guaranteed to finish you off. This is one cure that's definitely worse than the ailment).

Never say never....

If the options are limited then I'll drink it 😁

There seem to be two camps with respect to over doing it on something, it's either that even the smell of it ever again in the future gets you gagging or you're fine to revisit it once you've got over the aftermath. Luckily I'm in the latter camp as having got properly wrecked on strong / proper cider a number of times at Uni I still enjoy the stuff now. Glad I do too, would be sad not to enjoy some scrumpy from time to time. In our younger days mate of mine got properly wrecked on Bacardi at a little party we were having at my parents house, he was pretty unconscious on our drive so we had to carry him home (luckily only a few streets away) but then realised his keys had fallen out of his pocket (on our drive it turned out later). Had to hand him over to his Dad who wasn't best pleased as he was on an early shift the next day. Think he just dragged him into the downstairs bog and left him. He can't stomach the stuff now or pretty much any other booze.

Aside from cider I've overdone on the beer a few times but still like it, top shelf is my kryptonite but again still drink spirits sometimes. Can't think of anything I'd turn down. Out of choice though and for the thread:

1. Cheap sweet German white wine enjoyed by many in the 80s i.e. Hock, Liebfraumilch etc.
2. Non premium / gnats piss lager - Fosters, Carling, Carlsberg (Export is just about okay), etc.
3. Cheap / gnats piss canned bitter - John Smiths, Boddingtons, you know the stuff...
4. Sickly alco-pops - though to be honest they didn't really come about until later in life so I haven't tried many.
5. Kopaberg - had a bottle once and thought why would anyone drink this stuff, tasted artificial, haven't tried any other flavours, may be missing out?

1 Gin - The only drink that made me vomit every time I have tried it.
2 Cider - Colossal hangover in my teens, could taste it for weeks.
3 Bells - Love my whisky, but that stuff is rank.
4 Saison - Farmhouse ale, tastes like it was swept up from a farmyard floor.
5 Anything with coffee in - Liqueurs, stout etc.

Canadian whiskey
Lemoncello with port. bad head afterwards
Foster's lager
Tetley creamflow
Party 7 beer

Oh I think Ouzo is great, they do do decent non gut rot stuff.
Totally agree. Spend a little bit more or buy it from Greece on your holidays. There are great ones out there. Serve with just an ice cube and allow it to louche and sip away. One of my favourite summer drinks.

1. Jagermeister. Lost half a day when I was drinking it like it was water; and also lost my cat, who wandered off as I was so pissed i didn't realise I had left the door open at 3 am...he came back though happily;
2. MD2020- definitely a teen thinking it's clever sort of drink; now it's like drinking syrup;
3. Lager's- the big commercial ones anyway- it's fizzy piss. Some IPL's I have had been good enough to be fair;
4. Magic Rock Salty Kiss- I very very rarely do not finish a beer I paid for; this one was close;
5. Cider. Had too much of it at 14 and now the smell gives me flashbacks of vomiting copiously.

3. Brewed under license beers
Sometimes I get brewed under licence beers so I have something to complain about.

I would never drink:
  • Cheap vodka
  • Kronenberg
  • Whiskey (although I always have time for a pickleback)
  • Sambuca
  • Alcopops
