23l BIAB lifting

Since I wanted my BIAB to be portable, and still wanted the convenience of a pulley to lift the bag, I built a frame that rests on the rim of my kettle, with a pulley centered at the top. It lets the bag drain until the wort comes to a boil, without my having to hold it.

Building on this, assuming I am right you meant 2 bags side by side, couldnt you do one bag in another? so put the first bag in as normal, put in half the grain, mash. place a second bag in "over the top" mash in the second half of the grain?

Then when it comes to removing, you have 2 smaller bags that you can remove 1 by 1?

Yes, the bags are side by side. I guess your idea of one bag inside the other would work too
