Many of the "won't eat xxx" brigade, especially those who rely on "ethics", don't seem to understand where many products actually come from.

I particularly like the ones who won't eat meat but happily tuck into dairy products like cheese and butter.

Apparently, they don't wish to kill and eat the cow ... :nono: :nono: :nono:

... but they don't mind if the calf starves to death 'cos all Mum's milk has gone to make cheese & butter!

Funny old world innit?

Absolutely. If your going to be veggie because of ethical reasons you need to take into account the whole 'ecosystem' of meat production. If you do I think the only real option you have is togo the whole hog (excuse the pun) and become vegan - non of this 'flexitarian' bollox I've heard about.

The latest news is that a veggie cafe are refusing to take th note. I wonder if they have checked the provenance of everything in their shop such as shoes, materials to ensure that none involve any animal matter at all. I think they will find lots of things should not be there but hey this is an opportunity to get noticed!
