Just done a my first kit for a very long time, a Brewferm Oud Bruin, basically a rather strong Belgium Brown Ale, i substituted the sugar with 500g of dark spray malt and 400g of dextrose brewing sugar, final og was 1062 Happy Drunken Festivities to you all JB

Hi Guys I'm a big fan of the Belgium fruit beers, and i'd love to recreate one using the all grain method, the problem i face is at what stage of the brewing process would i add the fruit, also is it better to add whole pieces or maybe turning the fruit into a pulp? Any help gratefully...

Hi i like to brew at nighttime, means i can enjoy a pint or two whilst brewing, pitched the yeast today and the og was 1044, which is slighty higher than the book, so i think added an extra 0.5kg of maris otter as opposed to the sugar has done the trick, hopefully gonna get another brew going...

Evenings All my next all grain is under way, a jennings cumberland ale clone, taken from GW's book, ive slightly altered to my taste, omitting the sugar and opting for another 0.5kg of pale malt, and changing the 37g of black malt to 50g of carafa special 3, a slight alteration to the hopbill...

Hello just bottled tonight, final og was 1010, so an abv of 6.6%, had a sneaky taste, you get the bitterness of the hops and the amount of ginger used was just right, right time to get the videos finished JB

that sounds like it will be a real nice brew, i'm a big fan of belgium beers, never tried an all grain one, but on my shopping list this this week is brew like a monk, keep us posted on its progress and i do hope you have some pics for us to view happy brewing JB

well finally kegged, been trying to get some more action from the yeast, seems to have been stuck at 1020, for a few days, tried the obvious, stirring ect and nothing happened, so kegged at 1020, not to bad that still gives me a beer of around 4.2% JB
