    Outside for the immersion element and for the tank connector (although I'm using silicone washers for the tank connector). Tip for you on the immersion element (and the tank connector) - use ptfe tape on the threads I didn't and sprung a leak and it was a PITA to redo. :nono:

    Very nice! Just out of interest what are those shiny quick disconnects you're using and where did you get them from? I'm looking for something similar on my brewery refurb.

    3kw immersion elements

    Just a quick question to hijack this thread slightly. I'm in the middle of getting all the bits together for my 100l SS boiler (upgrading from a H&G 60l) and just need to know is it worth going for the 3kw immersion elements or the 2.75kw kettle type elements? The electric supply isn't a problem...

    carbination drops

    Yep I've used them and they work well they just work out slightly more expensive than buying the glucose. I use one for each bottle and it gives a nice even carbonation. If I do an APA or IPA i use 2.

    Greetings indeed! Good to know there are more manxies out there brewing! Now we just need a home brew shop that'll sell grain & proper yeasts on the island!
