    Boiler Help???

Hi, I have built my boiler and all looks good, except that I used a tank connector to connect my tap and now I cant fit a pipe to act as a hop filter. The hole on the inside of the tank connector is too narrow. How do I go about making the slot wider or making a correct sized pipe? Also I put...

    Growing Hops??

Best way to add priming sugars to bottles

I used to put the sugar into each bottle and then syphon direct from the FV into the bottles. However got board with the extra stage of adding sugar to each bottle. I also got a little paranoid that the sugar might not be clean. So now I boil the sugar in water, top up with cool clean water...

    Cold Break

Hi, I have just bought a chiller and I'm not sure when to use it. I boil my brew in a 19L pan on my cooker and a few smaller pans to make it as close as I can to 23L before topping up it up with water in the fermenting bin. After the boil I strain the wart with a sieve into my fermenting bin...
