    Thought id take lid off and have a gander, you can see it gassing and churning, does this look right for 6 days in the fv? It's reading 1020, probably got a stuck brew here, down the poo pipe I think

    I like the sound of this and picked up quite a few demijohns yesterday off fleabay, I haven't tried any wows or turbos yet so this will be my first, could someone just clear up for me sb3 yeast? What is it and acquired from where, thank you ahead :thumb:

    Thanks for all the advise fellas, I'm just gunna leave it alone for two week, it's foaming, looks good, smells good, if it tastes ****e I'll bin it, bottling my Merlot on Sunday to take my mind off it, oh the temperature fluctuates 18/20, within said box guidelines :thumb:

    Thanks for that, I went and grabbed some today and banged it in, I was dubious about using the kit yeast in the first place, should have gone with my gut instinct and binned it for knew, learning curve noted. Fingers crossed this'll work out :thumb:

    Will try some wow's when I get my hands on some demijohns, Had to put a blow off line on this Merlot today, 48hrs nothing, then Krakatoa, vino everywhere, was amazing, anyway after a wipe down and clean up I made a blow off into a bottle of steriliser, seems much happier :thumb:

    Brewed as per instructions, said 19 litres which equates to 33 imperial pints, minus loss racking should give you the 32 quoted......I think

    Well took your advise and brewed it up tonight, how long would you recommend leaving this in the fv, this is my first ale, yesterday was my first wine kit, so got two fv's on the go at the mo, will be leaving it at that for now. :twisted:

    Xmas 2016 batch of sloe gin, sloe whiskey next..

    Only been stood a day and turning a nice colour, these sloes were picked, washed and banged in a freezer bag and froze for two weeks, no pricking and pissing about, good results fast and minimal labour, just how I like it

    Just done a 500ml and a 750ml batch of sloe gin using Gordon's. 500ml added 1 heaped table spoon of caster sugar 750ml added 2 heaped table spoon of caster sugar Will leave for 3 month, taste, add sugar if required..hey ho Will be doing a sloe whiskey and tequila next..can't wait!
