    Stainless steel s30 valve

First off, an apology for not brewing or coming here for a long time. One thing that used to bother me in my kit was the brass s30 valves in my pressure barrels. They turned green and looked unhealthy. I have just found and purchased a stainless steel one. Does anyone else use these and are...

    Vodka question

Hello all. It's been a while but my dad gave me a big bag of plums today so it's wine time. I had a quick look in the new non brewed beverages section and it made me think of a question that's been bothering me for some time. I like a neat vodka now and again, my favourite being Stolichnaya from...

    Someone is eating my hops!

Thanks for the replies. The plant is in its second year so probably still establishing itself. It's the leaves that are being eaten. I'll have a look underneath for bugs. I will try and avoid pesticides if there is a more eco friendly solution. As for a picture, that means employing Tom my son...

    Someone is eating my hops!

Hello all. This is more of a gardening question than beer making, but it is related. My hop plant is making the most of the rain and growing well. Only trouble is, something is taking a nibble at the leaves. Last year it affected the whole plant. I know very little about green fingered stuff, so...

If i fitted a lastock tube and float to a bottom tap keg, would i fool it into thinking it was a top tap keg? Or is that, like most of my ideas, nonsense ? ;)
