    Sorry, I've Been Busy!

Hi folks, Apologies for not posting for a while but my time (life) doesn't seem to be my own any more  Most of it seems to have been taken over by this little man. I've been busy accumulating parts (and seemingly emptying my pocket/bank account) for my ongoing brewery build and...

    Chimay

I like Chimay too. My favourite though is La Chouffe. It is quite hard to find though and you will usually have to buy a 750ml bottle.

    Nordic Thermobox as a boiler?

It is one of those 'pig-tail' type ones. It only needs two 13mm holes.....I think, as it wasn't me that converted it. 3.2KW IIRC, does the job well for me.

    Nordic Thermobox as a boiler?

    Frozen beer??

It happened to me once. When putting a corny in the fridge, I must have knocked the dial on to maximum.....came back the following day to frozen beer. It didn't seem to do any harm to the beer...I just let it thaw over a couple of days. ATB

    PUMPING.

I'm looking for similar info snail. I've managed to pick up a nice totton pump and another similar one.....both rated to 85 deg IIRC :wha: Those solar pumps will handle boiling liquids :) With right pump and suitable connections you could do both I reckon with one pump. I won't be able to use...

Principle of Brewing Science by George J Fix?

I have a copy. It is a good book, but be prepared for some degree level reading. The Malting and Mashing chapter I thought was very good, as is the short one on Beer Stabilization. Good and interesting reference book, but be prepared to go deep. ATB

    Uncles Horse for the National

My two are 'Oscar Time' and 'Ballabriggs'. I've had an e/w investment on those two. It will probably end up costing me more though, as on Saturday morning no doubt I will get the 'can you put a few quid each way on blahblahblah for me seeing as I'm off to work now?' from SHMBO. Good luck to all...

I'm no longer Muddy or Disco

Nice one Nick. I have an A3.......and I love it :) What engine is in there? Mine is the 1.6TDI, great for fuel ecconomy and ultra low emmisions so it is better for me tax wise. Only £35 per year road fund licence too :)

Thanks for your PM mark......I should point out the recipe above is for 40 litres  As for the citra.....they are very, very different than what I would expect to get from the celia. I hope the celia are quite floral......rob at TMM says they are similar to Styrian Goldings. Guzzler...
