    Who's Brewing tomorrow?

Planning a Neipa tomorrow I’ve used Brewdog’s Hazy jane (OG) for a basis a few times now and it’s worked well. I've also ingredients for an imperial stout but that’s going to be my first brew for 2021athumb..

    Mangrove Jacks M76

Hi I’ve not used the M76 but I’ve used the m84 a couple of times and it worked well, i tend to add 2x packets as I’m normally fermenting 20-25 litres. lately I’ve started using the M54 Californian lager, I can’t taste any difference !! All the Mangrove jacks yeasts seem to work quite predictably.

    Anyone up?

Yesterday I had a Lazy morning and started my Pilsner quite late, it was dark when I finished cleaning. My grainfather was a little burnt at bottom so I’d left water and pbw to soak ! Will need a rinse  OG came good though at 1.060 and 24L in my fermenter clapa

    Pilsner or lager recipe..

Hi Clint, I got this recipe when I first started a couple of years ago, I still use this as a basis when I’m brewing a Pilsner, I tend to use (mangrove jacks) yeasts as there predictable. And I only ferment at room temps, or garage temps depending on time of year, M54 Californian Lager works...

    What do you ferment in?

https://shop.speidels-braumeister.de/de/gaertanks/gaerfass-60-liter Hi just seen thread, I bought the 30L as I’m fermenting around 25L, it leaves a good 10L headroom to ferment explosive Imperial Stouts. Really good Quality and easy to clean.

    Sugar for Imperial Stout

Thanks for that, I'll maybe try that next time to bring it above 10% and see what difference it makes to the flavour. I've a Sherry Red ale and a Pilsner to brew before xmas, So Imperial stout maybe first brew of 2021
