Tudor London Lockdown & Social Distancing During the Black Death

Yes that’s the place. My grandparents used to live there but never heard of Outcast before although must have walked through it dozens of times.

    Hook head malt

Same here, I always get the 25kg sack of Hook Head malt and it is consistently good.

Busy times from home brew shops

I ordered from THBC on 27th March, dispatched on 4th April and arrived today.

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

Yes it was just right for me but interested to hear another opinion. Another pod would be 33% extra and I think it would be too much. No worries, I’ve built up a bit of stock over the last couple of months so got plenty to be getting on with. athumb..

Glad you liked it. What did you think about the amount of cardamom in there? About right or maybe could do with a bit more?

I have no idea. I would have expected it to have been similar to Leeds or Manchester but there are 3-4 times as many cases here.

Make Do Food for the Crisis

Pak choi is fairly quick to be ready, about 6 to 8 weeks apparently. I’m growing some for the first time and after three weeks they are coming on well.

    Hazelwood Brewday

Mine doesn’t usually but had saved a couple of bottles. Still a very nice saison without the cardamom being very present.

    Hazelwood Brewday

How much cardamom did you go for? Had a bottle of mine last week and the cardamom has almost disappeared. It is from last August though so not unexpected that it would fade.

    Lime juice

If you still wanted to get the lime flavour, you could just add a few drops to the glass when you are about to drink it.

    Best beer for curry?

It was 20 litres in the FV. I’ve got measuring spoons and it was a flattish teaspoon, around 5ml. I crushed the cardamom pods slightly. Hope the brew goes well but just let me know if you have any more questions.

    So who's growing chillies 2020?

All six of the Anaheim chillies I planted two weeks ago have germinated. I've also planted some satan's kiss and some from a random bag of mixed seeds bought off eBay. Using a propagation mat and grow lights for the first time this year to get an early start.

Thanks, I tend to do a flameout addition and a dry hop. Any hops in particular it worked well with?

I bought some pellets from CML last week as not heard much about them and they sounded unusual. @Leon103 and @Brew_DD2 how did you use them and how much did you use?
