    this weeks brew....

Probably come out with more fermentables , just watch the back end for tannins? Bit confused as you mention an overnight mash and mashing for 90 mins in same post? I guess the 75 min boil will add some more colour and caramelisation? Hope it goes well :thumb:

    AG#4 Hefetryzum I (Bavarian Hefeweizen)

Nice one Tim, :thumb: my inaugural brew was a Bavarian Hefe on my 20L Braumiester! Still playing around with the best method of stopping hops from blocking outlet! Got some perforated stainless plate on order and the use of a folder and tig set at work. Hopefully be able to knock up a form...

    Christmas Brew AG#15

Just bottled this brew, finished out at 6.8% , added some spice steeped vodka to bottling barrel, first thoughts slightly dry finish with a little ginger heat, no distinct cinnamon or nutmeg flavours coming through, very little hop flavours as expected for this type of beer. Hopefully 10 weeks...

    Baz's Kegerator Build

Great job there Barry :thumb: , what temp will you be serving your beer at? I think beer engines have an allergy to temps below 53F (12C in proper temp) :D Seriously though nice work :hat:

    Brew Shed Project with shiny!

Tim, Did the electrician put a small Consumer unit with an rcd in the shed? I'm just a little concerned about the number of sockets on what appears to be a 2.5mm2 cable? Realistically you don't want to plug 2 elements into a double socket , 2x10amps? Aleman is right , ideally you want 16amp...

    Just ordered my DE razor

Welcome to the smooth side of the dark side! I find that feathers are sharper than derby's although I'm currently using astra platinums. I recommend "Taylor's of bond streets Sandlewood cream" a tub is about £8 but will last you about 3months plus. I would also bUy an Alun block ...

    What hoover have you got

Had a Henry for a few years, I thought it was ok until SWMBO complained of a bad back when using it. We then bought a dyson animal DS50 I think, Jesus what a shock, knocked the Henry out of the park with the suction power, picked up loads compared to poor old Henry. Now for the negatives...

Try steeping some spices in vodka, I currently have a cinnamon stick, 1/8 grated nutmeg, 1/2 clove head and 1/2 tsp of dried ginger steeping in 80mls of vodka. When I taste my christmas brew at bottling stage I will add spiced vodka to the bottling barrel to my required taste level. flying by...
