Just spent about £500 on new plastic HLT,
SS Bergland Mashtun
SS Bergland boiler
with all fittings. Gutted my brand new HLT is plastic now  but hay ho it will do until it breaks. This hobby is a perfect mix of DIY home projects and science. And at the end of it all you make a beautiful pint! (well maybe). Just need to stop spending and start brewing more  Although I do fancy a brew fridge for larger :hmm:

Best get on ebay....

it is, but then, i included 2 pid controllers, herms system, sparge arm, pump, stir plate and a couple of other bits and bobs

I think thats what is stopping me from going shiny at the moment. That and the fact we rent. Not sure what my landlord would make of a full shiny rig in his garage. I'm gutted because I would love to try it as I'm into making foodie things from scratch. Hey ho I'm happy with the results I get from my kits, and there is enough variety to keep me happy for now

its all the little things that add up. my brother-in-law just brought round 25kg of tipple pale malt and hops for a brew day at the weekend. Cant wait to get the yeast starter on on friday. My new set-up should make it much easier (which is why i spent so much), cant wait.

Maybe you need to get a shiny HLT to match :hmm:

Oooh sorry, you said STOP spending
