What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Pint of Taddy lager outsode St Barts having collected a couple of big bags of meat from Smithfield Market for the weekend. One of the best bits of that London. Picanha!

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Yep very long half life, takes a while to clear the system. In the past have sat there plotting graphs ahead of a big Weekend away.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Just launched a pint of my brown ale in with the braising steak so seems rude not to have a quick snifter. This has matured into a pretty decent drop.

    Old Tom recipe

This was my clone https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/882085/old-tom which was a) a great beer and b) a reasonable interpretation of the original. Uses WGV and EKG as bittering hops and EKG as late addition. Part use of lager malt was to use it up and I think the carafa III...

Some help with method on first AG brew

Not used a Brewzilla but that looks low for an all in one due to all the space below the maltpipe. In the GF 4.3kg would be more like 15L for the mash.

Fitting in AG brewing around life

Can save a lot of time if you weigh everything out night before, treat water and anything else by way of prep. Then get your strike water on at 6am when you wake up and can be mashed in before everyone else is down for brekkie. You can always leave the clean up for after kids in bed which just...

    Acid Malt

I also use in lighter beers for pH management. Avoids all the extra Chloride and Sulphate ions associated with using CRS. Cant say I can taste the lactic

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

My vanilla bourbon stout. Probably due another month in the keg maturing and could do with a bit extra carb but happily no longer tastes like someone has just dropped a shot of JD in your pint.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Have had a couple of halves of it previously. Been in keg at 3 degrees for 3 weeks but needs a bit longer. Used 34/70 rather than the one you use and also forgot to chuck the glucose in. This pint is a bit too cold and there is a touch of haze.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Heavens just opened as I was erecting trellis on back of the house. Absolutely torrential so much si that can't get satellite signal in the brewcave to watch footy. Consoling myself with my homage to @Hazelwood Brewery German Pilsner

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

I've not even seen it. Out of pure nostalgia though, I always get 4 tins of McEewans export whenever I'm at Euston heading up West Coast Mainline to Liverpool or Wigan or Preston or Penrith. In the day it was pretty much all they had in the buffet car and it has stayed with me. #classinaglass

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Good man, I'm a dyed in the wool sandgrounder but spent quite a bit of time in Carlisle where McEwans reigned supreme.

What are you drinking tonight 2021?

Yep I think they'll all end up with their best possible grades. People will get agitated about grade inflation but noone will give an eff in 2 years time. I'm in charge of graduate recruitment for a big city firm and we really don't care. As long as current grades give them opportunity to do the...
