    CO2 prices in your areas?

Thats the wholesale price of just the CO2. There is also shipping, packaging, storage, analysis and then the increase in operating costs for businesses so they need a larger markup too.

    Replacing Grainfather thermometer

Its always worth contacting grainfather. Their after sales service is amazing, they might send you the replacement probe or even offer a discounted unit. The screen on my unit was faulty and they just sent me a replacement, no questions asked.

    CO2 prices in your areas?

Place I get mine from in the Wirral is £26.40 with no rent and no deposit on the cylinder then you just return the cylinder whenever its empty. Not a bad rise seeing as CO2 was £200 a tonne and its now £1200 a tonne. Thats a 6.35kg refill (10 litres) so it was £1.25 in raw material cost and its...

    Best thing you ever purchased

Open a commercial brewery and offer home brewers the chance to use commercial kit. Then make them watch you make beer and they clean it all afterwards 😉

    Canning Thread

I have just canned my first batch and it was a breeze. Used a basic bottle gun from brewkegtap and chilled my beer down to 0.5°C. Purged each can for 6 seconds with CO2 then filled with the gun. Cap the can on foam to displace any oxygen and seam on the machine. At no point was I anywhere near...

Is there such thing as an affordable stainless unitank for home brewers?

I would love to move up to a unitank for my brews but I am not interested in the clear plastic ones. I wanted something thats a bit more long term and also has the ability to be modified/adapted over time. Is there anything on the market that is similar to the brewtools f80 or the SS brewtech...

Is Electricity Cost An Issue Per Batch?

I’ve only just got onto it so I’m not sure about past prices. Next yeah it will probably be much worse. Fertiliser is more than double last years price and with a massive portion of the worlds wheat made in Ukraine, I imagine most cereal crop will increase in price over the next harvest.

Is Electricity Cost An Issue Per Batch?

I recently ordered a 25kg bag of Crisp German Pilsner from the South Cheshire Malt Group Buy and it was £22.39. It probably your supplier that's raised the prices that much and not Crisp. https://southcheshire.co.uk/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=75_68&product_id=112

    CO2 supplier in the Wirral

If anyone is looking for CO2 near the Wirral then there's a place called Jimmy's Beer and Gas that sells a 10 litre (6kg i think) cylinder for £26.40. I order mine from there but it was only £15 last time I went before the price of CO2 went up 6 fold! I always used cash as they didn't have a...
