    Thanks for the replies, yes I do take longer to pour but it can be tedious especially when having guests!

    Does anyone have an idea for an improved tap for a pressure barrel? I find the standard ones can leak a bit and can cause foaming when pouring.

    If you want flat beer yes. If you actually want to carb your beer no. The pressure barrels can't hold enough pressure to force carbonate the beer. If you add co2 to a pressure barrels without suger/dextrose it will protect the beer from oxygen but won't absorb into the beer. If you want to force...

    I got pulled on a motorway for doing 55, police deemed it too slow! Fuel costs a lot these days and I travel a lot so doing 55 means I get 80+ mpg.

    30 years ago the kits were crap I'm told. They are a lot better now. Try the Young's America IPA or a tom Caxton real ale.
