That's the big day over. Stuffed full of turkey, ham and beef rib and to full for a beer, sloe rum it is!

It was a 2019 vintage so only two years old. I'd not tried it before so I only got the one, next time I'll get a crate to age because it was beautiful.

Several drinks down and all my Christmas dinner prep is done, except for another layer of glaze on the ham. Phew! Time for my super special, extra strong Santa Claus beer. I've been aging this for over a year now and it is beautiful.

That was quick! Now onto my galaxy Wheat IPA. It needs a few more weeks, but it's not bad!

An Oude Geuze Boon Lambic to start off the night. Really surprised with this as I'm not fond of sours. It's more tart than all out sour, dry, fizzy, oaky and very refreshing.

Next up a carb test of my Rye IPL. It's malty and a bit spicy with some caramel notes. It'll be very nice once the yeast has calmed down a bit.

An old favourite tonight whilst I make more Christmas bits. The wife is having a snowball. I almost had an major incident involving the loss of my entire beer and a smashed glass, but my quick reactions saved the day. The baking cupboard is hazardous!

I had one of those last summer, I was surprised how good it was. Loads of banoffee flavour in there. Their Topical stout was disappointing though.
