Decided to bottle and barrel this tonight at 1.010 which makes this a 3.8% beer. Just what I was wanting. Tastes good and its a great colour. Heres a few more photos. How long do you think a 3.8% brew should condition for?

    Was thinking wheat.

Thanks for the comments, made the grain bill up from various ideas and a lot of research. Wanted a Hooggarden style beers so yes a Belgium Wit. Your right about the wheat holding back the run off so it will be interesting. Cheers C

    Dalex tap Question

Sounds like you have the other version of the tap. I have the one with the sparkler in the nozzle (little green thing) you can remove it. The one you have sounds like the sparkler fits to the thread on the nozzle.

Dalex tap to bottom tap plastic keg, what should I expect?

Nope doesnt seem to work like that. Its almost like the small holes in the creamer just arnt doing their job. Phoned Leyland HB and asked Joe. He said it comes down to the condition of the beer, if its too early it wont cream up. They are good taps tho! ;)

Got a few Dalex taps for my birthday and fitted one to the bottom of an old Boots Barrel. Sealed very well and holding pressure too but what should I expect from this? It has a built in creamer and I have my Oatmeal Stout in it just now but what should the flow look like? I have never used one...

    Toasted Oatmeal Stout - 33L - 1.046 - 13.02.09

Kegged this last night and also made up 4 bottles to give away to my father-in-law. He also loved the original Oatmeal Stout. Installed a Dalex tap to the bottom of my old Boots barrel seems to hold the pressure but my S30 seal needs a new washer I think. Although it did hold the pressure for...
