    Just put my first batch of TC on 3l of S***sbury (all supermarkets are poo) apple juice in to start with 2l for top up 100g of sugar 1tsp yeast (youngs wine yeast) 1tsp Nutrient. 1 cup strong tea thought it had to be worth a try, not bothered with hydro, just thought see what it does...

    'Slightly cost sensitive' I love that, Personally I am a right tight **** which is why I started brewing in the first place. Good luck with the recipe, kit guy here too so no idea's, sounds pretty cool though.

    bit late replying to this one but as I recall the temp dials aren't always perfect on the heater, you may have to put it up a couple of notches to get the right temp in the FV. as long as your thermometer is working properly trust that as your guide..

    hey there The wines are ok, I have done a couple of kits and they have all been alright. nothing spectacular yet but eminently drinkable. need more time than beer for them though, much better getting the conditioning going on... Good luck loppy let us know how it goes!!

    I can only comment on doing lagers with tins being unable to devote enough time to become an AG man. I can say with confidence that even the single tin lagers are pretty damn good and very easy. I am starting to supplement using spray malt to add body but to my mind and (perhaps...
