    V vessel conical fermenter

Cleaning would be a prohibitive reason for me buying one, always find a way. They look really easy to use, just detach the bulb from the bottom and slip another clean one in, simple. I have got a reply back from them, more than the cost of the vessle, but at around £220 it still viable...

    Plastic demijohn demi john

Just writing up my thoughts on the plastic demijohn's available as a cheap alternative. I wanted to get a 5 demijohn for racking purposes, plus they look kinda cool all lined up. I have seen the advertised and on sale from Brewers Droop in bristol. At £2.99 for the bottle, cap and grommet...

    Paranoid / Worried...

its usualy "recommended" you add 1 tsp per pint, but experiement. For the 1lt bottles this would be around a tsp and a half, but try a few with 1.5tsp, 1tsp, 1/2tsp. Some people dont prime their bottle, allowing long conditioning to produce a mild carbonation. I'm still experiementing with my...

    retro shiney micron-brewery

They're very efficient well designed water boilers. There is an internal copper insert inside the main casing, the first half of the boiler is like a kelly kettle/storm kettle in that it has a thin chamber around a chimney then expands to a larger reservoir. so the water in the thin jacket...

    retro shiney micron-brewery

Got some shiney's on the way :D not very converntional, but i like them there are four of them, nearly all identical. Their mains filled water boilers, opposed to manual filling with a jug/tap. Think the water is dispensed under pressure so will have to bodge in from the back. Dont...

Been drinking a bit more of this and its making me think about beer, funny that aint it  guess its a harsh review of sorts. When poured it didnt have any head to speak of, not that IPA is renowned for a bit head, but were talking zero. the bubbles are, well, very bubbly, what you would...
