I dont get it. I have just started my 2nd 3kg kit, a brupaks west riding wheat beer. as with my first 3kg kit i have taken a hydrometer reading after adding everything to the fv and at a temp of around 22c and 23 litres of total of liquid. Both times the hydrometer has read 1022. Surely this...

Dont worry mate im still laughing about now !. If i ever do it again im getting the camcorder out, it was that cool :clap: . I didnt exactly throw it more of a pour but by the time the pour was finished i had to slam the lid shut in a vain attempt to stop the eruption.

Just for the record. Do NOT try that if you have carpet anywhere near the fv. its proper mental :shock: . In future i will just try not to be an idiot in the first place, making secondary idiotry unnecessary :rofl:

Aargh just used spray malt instaed of beer kit enhancer for the first time on a pilsner lager kit and just realised that its only 500g (idiot ) :oops: not a kilo so og was only 1033 with sg now at 1011 after fermmentation is over. can i just chuck another 500g of spray malt in or have i screwed it ?

Blimey, that all sounds a bit expensive for a noob like me !. Only just convinced the mrs the £200 + ive spent already on 2 kegs, fv's, gas, kits, spraymalt etc etc etc i going to save us money in the long run. reckon i will have to get a few succesful brews under my belt first before any more...

Hi thanks for the quick reply. I thought i needed to reach a 1.006 at least for it to be finished. At least that waht th instructions say. but 1.011 is good enough is it. happy days if it is ! :grin:
