"If there is any pressure in the keg you will here a hissing noise, which can be quite loud if there’s a lot of pressure in the keg."

You missed 'here' which needs replacing with 'hear', it's in the section 'Opening the lid'. :) A very smart guide though, you obviously spent a lot of time slaving over that and the effort shows. I (like most of us) have had to learn through trial and error and whilst there are other cornie faq's out there I've not yet seen anything that explained it all so clearly and concisely as that. Indeed I didn't even understand how the lid worked when I ordered my first pair!

Good job m8. :)

We had a chap on UK Homebrew that having got his gas disconnect on the keg couldn't work out how to get it off . . . . apparently after much cursing and brute force it came off but he was worried about putting it on again . . . .Then I pointed out that you had to pull up the 'collar' to release the disconnect . . . . I'm sure the post is in the archive somewhere as this really isn't a wind up.

21

Gotta say the how to is spot on. Its taken me from know nothing to 'oh you do realise you need to bin your king keg and get a corney keg, ask me if you need any info' in like 20 seconds :thumb: . After first reading the term (like boxing day) i had i few newbie questions, all are now answered.Thanks. Can you now tell us when are we coming out of the credit crunch ? and why do we say my alarm clock went off when it clearly came on ?

I feel positively lightweight only having 7 full sized and 2 half sized cornies. :( Getting a big shed in order to house them soon else I'll be needing to build an extension to the house!

Cool, just got one :D that's all and was just after a few tips and part 1 was very useful..

Post away in the brewing equipment section if you need any advice, they're an absolute doddle to run. :)
