    just adding bottled with 2 carb drops a week ago and left them under the stairs to condition plonked 3 in the fridge yesterday to test 😀 purely for research have just cracked the first nice hiss on opening good pour with decent head didnt stay for long but it is still very young...

    did you add spray malt as the bitter does not ask for any sugar only 500 g of light spray malt

    well took everyones advice left well alone till today took a hydrometer reading 1004 so all looks good for bottling tomorrow had a taste was like flat beer nice enough for warm and flat beer totally clear thanks for all the info will keep adding to the thread as i progress

    just a update for anyone interested took a sample after 6 days brewing at 20 deg was bubbling nicely for 4/5 days now all quiet looks like flat beer best i can describe now reading 1010 maybe 1008 but being conservative had a taste bit like sugery warm flat beer nothing ofensive so think...

    planning on putting my second batch on as soon as the first lot is bottled if all goes well will look into more gear to have two brews going have got lots of pet bottles but will look into the flip tops for the long term

    Can i store at room temp or does it have to stay cold

    cheers for the replies plan to store in house under the stairs garage is concrete and south facing so big temp swings under the stairs seems to be the most consistent temp place i have well its the best i have got so will just have to see how it goes

    cheers for that was just bugging me am going to buy a fridge for the garage just for brew but not going to be big enough to get two brews in so could do to store elsewhere plan on doing a stout for christmas present for my father so could do to leave a few months
