    Bombardier

I have been after a recipe for this for ages, all i know is they use water from their own well, so we wont know what the composition is which could make quite a difference. A mate of mine just had a tour around the brewery (work related) and he said they were very secretive about stuff, they...

    Kit vs True Home Brew

i used to brew kits a few years back and they had a certain taste to them, since going all grain i can say you would not look back, the initial outlay is worth it, but do look into building your own as it is a lot cheaper, i have only been doing AG for the last 6 months and have all ready moved...

    Bittering hops question

Thanks TS thats the sort of reply i was hoping for, research says it shouldn't make any noticable difference, but until someone says they had done it and confirms it, you never know if you should try and maybe waste a days work and a brew coz it ends up tasting like ****.

    Bittering hops question

When using hops for bittering is it correct to assume that most of the flavour is lost due to the boil (90mins for me) if this is correct would it be poss to use a high AA hop just for bittering then aroma and flavour hop of what ever the recipe calls for? without altering the overall flavour of...

Complete AG setup for a newbie.

HLT = In my HLT i am only having one element, you could set a timer so it switches on before you get up so when your ready to brew it would be at a good temp, plus you have another 60-90 mins during the mash to heat up the water for sparging. but 2 elements would get to required temp quicker...

    Cooler whirlpool thingy

It's not that much copper, if you allready have an IC it could be made with an extra 18" (the pic is a little miss leading, the very outer section is just a reflection of the boiler)
