Hi all

Does anyone know if it's possible to take a push fit stop tap apart? I've got a few in use and they're getting stiff to open and close. I know I could replace them but I'm a bit of a tight wad so if they can be sorted out then that would be great.
Thanks in advance

Cheers Tom

You're not giving us much detail on what make/model.
If I look at images online, most look like they are press/snap assembled, but others look like you may be able to apply plumbing pliers.

You might find warming them up in not quite boiling water will soften the plastic enough to allow the tap part to be popped out.
Personally I would first attemp this holding it a wooden work mate, as a lot of force with metal tools on plastic parts never ends well.
You'd have to experiment and find out.
