Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way i could salvage my brew. Mashed at a high temp 70c. So I dont think I am going to get a decent fermentation out of it.
A question; are the sugars which are formed in a higher temp mash completely unfermentable or are there some yeasts which are better at fermenting those than others?

does that make sense?

I am concerned that I may just be getting a shandy!

You could ferment with a different type of yeast, although it wouldn't be an ale yeast. You probably wouldn't want to though.
