Right lets kick this off, had a couple of suggestions as to what the forum wine should be. You are allowed 2 votes each. The poll will run for 4 days. Once the votes have been cast we can then get brewing :thumb:

Only just noticed this poll after chipping in on the other thread....

Right here is the winning Recipe WURZELS ORANGE WINE. altho i posted the 1 gallon recipe it up to you how much you make.

1 litre carton pure orange juice.
1 litre carton pure pressed white grape juice.
1½ lb sugar.
1 tsp nutrient
G.P. yeast
½ tsp tannin
1 tsp Pectic Enzyme
1 tsp glycerine
Water to 1 gallon

Oh well, I suppose I'd better start some more of this, if you lot are insisting :(

After all, I've only got 11 gallons of it at varying stages of completion

Well ive just finished making my FORUM WINE, but unfortunatly Mr Siv brought red grape juice instead of white. Now i spoke to the master himself and hes never tried it with red, so ill just have to see how it goes or get myself down asda tomorrow and get some white.

Go for it Dave, I just racked/stabilised/fined my Wurzel Rosé last night and it seems quite promising.

Mrs. Mole likes vino pinko, so this could be a winner :thumb:

We can change the recipe within reason though, right?
Tweak away I say  substituting the orange with Tescos Orange & Mango is a winner! :thumb:

Another productive evening yesterday, I bottled 3 gallons of regular Wurzels, 1 gallon of Wurzel Rosé which has turned out rather well and 1 gallon of Pineapple & White Grape, first racked 5 gallons of mixed red fruit wine, then started a forum brew.

I never go in Tesco without picking up 3 litres of grape juice for £2, so I gradually build up a stash at home. Went round Morrison's on Saturday and picked up some orange juices. I also noticed that most of the Twining's fruity infusions bags were 99p but for some reason the Raspberry, Strawberry & Loganberry was 69p, so I picked up a box of those.

Having emptied a 5 gallon fermenter, I thought I'd start another batch straight away, so I wondered what might happen if I made a slightly pink Wurzel but also added the fruity bags. Actually, this is absolute cobblers, Amadeus had already given me the idea so I've unashamedly nicked it.

4 litres white grape juice
1 litre red grape juice
5 litres orange juice
4kg sugar boiled to a syrup
1 box (20) Twining's RS&L bags, infused for 30 minutes in 1 litre boiling water
5 tsps each Pectolase, Glycerine, Nutrient
1 tbsp each Tannin, GP Yeast
Water to 5 gallons

Like Davesiv said, 24 hours in and it's fermenting like crazy.

Christ man, your just a brewing machine. Good to see, but makes my two demi-john's worth make me cry ..... or on the other hand I look forward to a weekend or two's time when I have some more time to brew :-)
