WOW ?

Posted this under an old thread by mistake. My wow taste like a very strong alcohol cough syrup. I went by the how to and it is two months old.

It is just slightly sweet but tastes awful. White grape and orange. I did use tannin. Mike

what's the final ABV? Could you water it back slightly?

Did you use pectolase at the start?

One of the reasons I'm trying a WOW is that with the small brew size, if it it does muck up, all I've lost is two cartons of juice and some sugar :thumb:

Don't know what the abv is I didn't take any readings just followed the mix directions. I ended up mixing a Peach flavor koolade wine with it half and half. It is kind of like Boones Fuzzy navel now. Mike

I've made WOW a couple of times and I thought it was terrible. Of the first batch my mum reckoned it tasted a bit like Chardonnay and quite liked it, but the second lot was so bad I dared not expose her to it! It wasn't off as such, just tasted yuk!
