We are doing this competition at work where you have to guess the score of each match.
YOu get points for correct result extra points if you get right amount of goals a team scored and winning margin.. Best way to max points is to get the exact correct score.

Knowing sod all about football really I decided to look at the markets price data and sentiment, look at liklihood of both teams scoring and assess what the most likley score line will be.

I am sure its just pure luck because using a model like this would require 10k+ markets for it to show any kind of edge but right now I am far ahead of everyone else. So I am riding the luck , but Im sure it will all come crashing down.

So anyway based on this match my model suggested 1-0 to wales or 1-1. I struggled to pick between the two.

It will probably be 8-3 like pilgrimhudd says.

Why is Southgate so ******* slow at making sub, 67 minutes to make the first change when everyone watching could see he needed to change something at half time as it wasn't working.

I mean I'm not the most savvy football fan. But he seems to fall into the trap a lot of England managers and teams in that they are way too conservative.

USA the better side there. Poor England display. Lethargic and lacking in creativity. If they play like that against a proper side, they'll be pumped.

Poor display from England. Too scared of conceding to commit players forward. Substitutions were made too late for me. We looked marginally better after they were made but it was a low bar to improve on.

Man I watched that US England game this morning. As a part time watcher it was no advertisement for the game. Fully expected England to romp in, have to agree they played for a draw. Interesting pool now.

I voted for Belgium to win in the poll BTW, purely as I like their beers...
