Hi chippy_tea it says in the instructions to add parts A and B for sav blanc anyway I only have F pack part B is this correct mate did yours have 2 sachets or just the one.

Cheers mate

This is what you should have had in the box - Pack D - F-Packs (A & B) To enhance the varietal of the wine.

One more thing just spoke to tesco direct they are sending me the one in missing be here on Monday will wine be OK till then its on 0.998 at the moment any help chippy_ tea would be great.

It will be fine, it will ferment until the yeast is all but dead probably 990, it may be a little on the dry side but you can back sweeten if you are not happy with the taste.

We had a couple of bottles last night, well pleased with the result considering its now only £16:50 in the Tesco sale.

I hope it will be okay and yes about the price at tecsos just ordered 2 more at £ 16.50 if you say its nice then mine should be okay just wish tesco had sent the proper items so I could get on with it. So I have pack B but missing pack A tesco are sending the whole packet so I might end up with a complete new item here's wishing lol.

Cheers chippy_tea

Hi chippy_tea and everyone else well got the remainder of my kit from tesco so added everything to the winebuddy sav blanc to clear it but after 36 hours still very cloudy any suggestions would be very welcome I have tasted it and its very nice just a bit cloudy.

Cornwallnewbie

How did you degassing it? if it was with a spoon you probably didn'tget all of the gas out, try giving Iit another good thrashing.

How many fining sachets did you have?

Hi chippy_tea I have another full sets of finnngs I,2 and 3 as tesco sent me a complete new kit I degassed it with a spoon what do you suggest checked it this morning and still a bit cloudyI do appreciate all the help from everyone.

Cornwallnewbie

If its clearer than the last time you checked leave it another day and check again, if it is not give it a good thrashing with the spoon.

If you are going to make wine regularly make a degassing wand out of an old coat hanger, it saves you time and effort, there is a guide here - http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=48971

.

Hi chippy_tea well it is clearer than this morning so I will give it another 24 hours if still a bit cloudy then then I will give it another thrashing.
Could I use some more finings or just leave it.
I think I will be making one of those degassing tools for the red wine I have on the go at the moment.
The wine should be OK chippy_tea shouldnt it well I hope so anyway.

Cheers mate

I have never had a WB Sav Blanc not clear in 48 hours so i am assuming as you had the 3 separate fining sachets its got to be the CO2 that is holding the sediment making it look cloudy, give it time and it will clear.

I made a couple of gallons of RGJ and Apple a month ago, i forgot how long they had been on top of the fridge freezer and when i looked they were almost crystal clear and that was with no fining.

On that subject have a look at this - http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=49462

Cheers chippy_tea I will leave it go till it clears and I will let you know in a few days the outcome and thanks for the thread I will write some down for the future.
You have been a great help.

Yes it should look like a glass of water and be crystal clear.
There is a picture of a glass in the review thread.

Chippy_tea just to let you now wine clear as a whistle tastes lovely got 25 bottles out of it so thank you for all you help
I have posted another thread with regards to a WineBuddy Cabernet Sauvignon Kit, 30 bottles just wandering is you have any ideas with regards to adding something to make it darker I only picked it up as I was £16.50 from tescos.

Cheers cornwallnewbie

Glad it turned out well, I never mess with kits so wouldn't know what to suggest for the other kit.
