Has anyone updated to Win10 2004? My notifications from this and other forums only open the latest post if you click on them when they arrive. Minutes later they do nothing.

It appears on the Update page under the normal Update info as a feature Update. Its a 'when you are ready' option.
These feature updates are usually slowly rolled out so it may not be available to you yet, although I believe if you really want to you can update directly from the MS website.

I had the update on one of my PCs and just after had a driver update (not sure which one). The lap top was then unusable it was so slow and I got one BSOD. I rolled back to before the updates and it has been fine since then

My desktop updated to it two weeks ago. All running fine.
I expect that it was the device driver update rather than the Windows update that caused my problems but they happened very close together and it was easier just to roll everything back. When I am feeling brave I might try the Windows update again

You have to give it plenty of time to complete the update in the background. My wife's laptop was so slow right afterwards too, you just need to walk away for an hour or two after restarting but after that it should be back to speed.

If you had a BSOD it would have told you which driver was at fault :) I think the update continues to complete in the background so thats why its slow
