Am going on a tour of a local micro brewer next week, Wincle Brewery in Wincle Cheshire, not far from Maccslefield.

Have had a couple of their beers before but not for a while now.

Its one of those places that started as a hobby then turned into a full time job needing to employ some staff to keep up.

Will post a review of the tour and beer end of next week but from memory they are really good ales !

ok here goes.

tour was great, the guy there very knowledgeble about beers and showed us the process from start to finish, we sampled some of the grains they use which were lovely.

pint pots were handed out, 3 pumps on the go and help yourself lads. Also we opened a few bottle of some of their darker traditional english beers and a porter, absolutely bloody amazing beer.

tour was a tenner a head, our party was 9 strong, the next tour they are doign has 48 people booked in.

They brew their own labled beers but also supply kegs to pubs all over the country, rebranded to that particular pub but still with their logo (no name) showing.

http://www.winclebeer.co.uk/ check out the logo, see if you can spot it in a pub near you as a guest ale

These guys are fairly close to me! Great beers. Local off licence sells them, always get a couple when I am in. Very friendly whenever I pop in. The brewery, not the off licence. Well, both actually!
