I've put vasoline around the seal but still getting a small leak from my Wilcos plastic barrell. Any suggestions please?

The taps are useless. Chances are you over tightened and there is a small crack between the tap and the thread body. 2 recommended options.

1. Take it back invest in a corny.

2 I still like PB for Ale so option 2 is replace the white tap with the black wide neck fermenter tap. Sounds sill but really works.

Always make sure you have spare seals on hand.

Drink that beer pronto in about 3-4 weeks it will be in drinkable if O2 got to it. Throw a party hell it's nice weather.

On various forums there are numerous accounts of problems with leaking barrels, I gave up on plastic barrels years ago , after years of frustration, why can't the manufacturers produce a non leaking simple plastic container , I can't believe it !!!
