If there is no backing nut on the tap, it is likely that the tap has a reducing thread as fitted to the 2"cap PBs.

When I pressure tested the cubes which have a concave bottom on them (in two halves) they balloon out, don't know if that is a bit of a safety feature or more logically for stacking over the handle of the on underneath. I also put the Vaseline on the seal ring makes a big difference to stopping any leakage.
As Col says 15 psi is as much as is needed less if you don't like the beer to carbonated.
 
WLP 925 is a pressure yeast for finishing a lager quickly but I haven' read anywhere as yet about conditioning times for the ' pseudo' lager.
