Might help if people didn't goad him.

+1

Edit : We all know why he's not posting, what a shame for the forum. I'm desperately disappointed to lose Aleman's contribution but retain........utterly useless posts from the guy who enjoys goading him.

Is that what we want from THBF?

Lose useful info but gain ****?

I for one have brewed better beers thanks' to his advice and forum posts. :thumb:

EDIT:
Just seen this  ...... Hope he's not overdosed on HB :hmm:

No idea what's going on, but the forum needs experienced helpful people :thumb:

The information from the more knowledgeable members of this forum has been invaluable to me. It would be a crime against hobby brewing if the same information was denied to the new crop of home brewers. Alemans advice is second to none. Some people seem to have issues with communicating there views in a non confrontational manner. We all have one goal and all follow the same path its just a shame we all don't seem to be able to play nicely together in the same playground. (these are the views of myself and do not necessarily represent the views of the forums members as a whole)

A forum needs good members who are willing to pass on information and help encourage others :!: A bit of banter and craic helps keep the 'Yuma' going and the place from becoming over serious, but when it gets to the stage when it's offending an individual, time to pull the plug on the offender :!:

No no no no no!.................it's chrisx-1 all over again! :( :( :( :( :(

I've not been too well, so only indulged in word game. What has happened?
Alemans knowledge is too valuable to lose on this forum. If some one has taken offense by his honesty they are really on the wrong forum, & to be honest, if you cannot take honest criticism, & it is honest, then go join another forum. I will if Aleman is not on this one.

imo that was different.

I know  , I was being daft! I really hope tony changes his mind. I had a cracking couple of hours chatting and watching his last live brewday! :thumb:

Your right....Aleman..Has not been around on the forum for a while :( His knowlege of the craft is that good..that I keep suggesting he captures it into a Book....Perhaps that's what he's doing :hmm:

Yes, he was able to explain something to me that I found completely puzzling, in simple terms.

As quoted before; what's the point of bickering,etc..we all want the same thing !

I have no idea what's going on, but I come on here for advice and support and tonnes of information that I may never need... but one day I might, anyone who is a wise old head when it comes to the art of brewing is of enormous value and it seems mad to me that anyone would want to post knowing that they'd offend them (or indeed anyone on here) :(

I don't mind healthy banter but if you get a kick out of offending others rather than just arguing a point in a friendly manner, maybe it's that poster who should not be contributing any more?

I hope he comes back, this forum is lost without him. The posts a few weeks ago got a little out of hand and everyone seemed to have an opinion on sterilizing which is fair enough, however it did get personal for which perhaps in hind sight a bit of moderation wouldn't have gone a miss.

I am all for having a bit of banter, that is what makes this site so good, even Aleman was having the craic on that thread however things were said which if they were directed at me I would have taken personally.

By the nature of this form of communication it isn't always possible to judge peoples intentions with comments they make and before long things can get out of hand.

At the end of the day what we do is supposed to be fun and a hobby and we should, if we want to be included on this site, be friendly to one another and have a bit of respect for one another.

Alemans knowledge is second to non and has helped a lot of brewers on this site. He is someone that I respect and look up to and hope that he comes back soon.

Alistair

Not been in for a bit - how did it get to this?

As people are saying, Aleman is always immensely helpful and his contributions would be missed.

A Craft Brewers Association article from about 2 years ago was headed "The legend that is Aleman" He is just that!
It will be a sad day for Me if I never get to read His superb posts.

Hi,I have never met Aleman but have read many of his posts on the forum,i have always found them very informative and often very amusing.AM is a very clued up and helpful guy from what i have read on here and the Forum will be far worse off without his input in every way.I personally hope that AM will re think and once again give everyone the benefit of his knowledge and experience in the brewing world and also that all members respect people's thought's and contributions wether they agree with them or not.Aleman i hope you read all of the comments from the Forum and change your mind but as an individual i will respect your decision whatever it may be.Get posting please,Merry Christmas to One and All Ken
