Who wants Aleman to contribute again???

I've been ill all week and seem to have missed whatever caused all the fuss, having looked at what I believe to be the thread in question and I have to say I'm a little bemused by the reaction. I'm not questioning his decision as, in the end, I can't know his reasons. However I would say that email, forums (fora? Moley?) etc. are notorious for creating mis-communication due to the lack of other cues (tone of voice, posture and so forth) to meaning. Possibly a timely reminder for us all to make an extra effort to be polite when posting ... and develop a thick skin :)

I have always thought that Aleman is a helpful and knowledgeable contributor to this forum and I would be gutted if he decided to stop posting permanently. So thanks and best wishes Aleman if you are reading this.

If you read this mate, ive not been around much over the last couple of months. What with me not brewing or drinking anymore, also the health problems ive been having. So i honestly dont know whats gone on. But the advise youve given me and all the other forum members is second to none. If you do feel that you shouldnt post anymore then thats down to you. And your contributions to this forum will be sadly missed, by me and all the other members.
All i can say on this subject is, if its a certain member that as upset you, then i have a good idea who he is. And as you once said to me "your contributions to this forum are worth 100 times more than his are". Dont let him wind you up, your a better person than he is.

I was reading a similar post on another forum recently where someone was suggesting its gotta have an effect on the knowledgeable/helpful guys like Aleman, who regularly/repeatedly answer the same type of questions on a near daily basis.. :thumb:

A sad loss to the forum, have been rather busy lately and only popped in to have a quick read now and then.
Tony you have helped me a great deal, from first starting out, onto stepped lager mashes and caustics and peracitic acids.
We all know this is the lighter forum but that was taken to far, if people have differences of opinions then can't we leave them out of every discussion. Yes we all do things differently and it doesn't need people constantly bickering about which way is best. I would do things as Tony says if I had the same equipment but I don't so I find another way of doing the next best thing, without degrading other peoples methods.

Sorry Sean :lol: I'd like to remove that, but as a lowly moderator I can't.

I have discussed things with the admin team, and they are aware that I have very personal reasons for reacting in the way I did, that I do not really desire to discuss in any really great detail here on the forum, but buy me a pint sometime and I'll probably be very boring. (Actually I'll probably be very boring anyway :) ). Suffice it to say that my departure was not triggered by any one particular member, and will give me time to concentrate on a couple of personal projects.
