Here's my latest brew (a twist on and old favoriye in th D_o_J household) It's been a while since I did a competition so as xmas is on its way....
2kg extra light DME
500g DWE
450g Golden syrup
500g Clear candi sugar
50g galaxy & 50g chinook at 15 mins boil.
10 min rest.
10 mins cold water bath. strained out hops.
into fv 50g galaxy & 50g amarillo. removed after 5 days and 5 days before bottling out in another 50g amarillo and 50 Galaxy
pitch temp 24.5 with re-hydrated MJ's west coast yeast
topped up to 22 litres
I managed to bottle 19.16 litres worth.
