hi,is there a substitute hop, for whitbread goldings, or much difference between other goldings, as i was hoping to do a boddies clone from the gw book as a first attempt at ag.

afaik most regional varieties of goldings are just to compensate for the climate and soil they are grown in. East Kent are the famous ones, but any would suffice!

wgv and are much earthier than normal goldings, im not a fan of wgv, but you can make a decent beer with themhttp://www.wellhopped.co.uk/Variety.asp
