Yes Northdown is another under used british hop for british styles, as I have said if you are into british styles get the Graham Wheeler book on brewing british ales but do look at the recipes carefully as they are not always a close clone of the version it says but it will show you that these old/bittering hops can be used and where used in the older stylesNorthdown is challengers aunt, I will get some
Any of the C hops.
Mosaic, Simcoe, Chinook, Ahtanum, Amarillo, Galaxy. To name a few good ones.
I am in on that. A 12g/l dry hop idaho7 is just amazing in a pale ale!!You sound like a drug addict, 'Just scored me a bag of idaho, man!'

If there was a hops anonymous I would be a founder member. My name's Hoddy, and I'm a hop addict
Yeah your right @Slid, I was aware they all begin with C mindCentennial, Cascade and Columbus also count as "C" hops
Tried it a while ago in a very light ale. Yes it is reminiscent of Sauvignon blanc. Ans yes it was an interesting beer. I can't make up my mind whether I liked it though!Nelson Sauvin. A unique, aromatic New Zealand hop which is said to be reminiscent of sauvingnon blanc. It's not always easy to get hold of but well worth a try. I never use just one hop, though. I bitter with something less aromatic and use the more complex hops for everything else.

It does. To my taste it's similar to EKG, which is why they work so well together, and I've used it late with good results. Is it now? I'd always thought of it as purely a bittering hop with EKG for late additions. Are you saying Challenger works well as a late hop, too?
Time I knocked up a single hop Challenger then. Looking forward to that.It does. To my taste it's similar to EKG, which is why they work so well together, and I've used it late with good results.
