Moley, do you think you have an alcohol problem?
No, I think I've got a constant supply of alcohol now - no problem

I just think he appreciates well aged home made wine ;) and fair play to him.

Didn't you learn from Norm that you don't put screws into end grain?
I did consider that, but there's never going to be any great fluctuation in temperature or humidity. Point taken though, I think I will take it out again and pop a nail in the middle of each joint for a belt and braces approach.

Nice work Mr.Moley, I love to see DIY work well executed :thumb:
You should be well proud of it ;)
Thanks John, but that's going too far. This is fairly basic carpentry, thrown together in a hurry, but a satisfactory job to suit a purpose. I can do proper woodwork too, and Mrs. Mole already knows.

by the way who is "Norm"?
Norm Abram, the woodwork bloke on Discovery's New Yankee Workshop.

Norm?

Norm Abram from The New Yankee Workshop. Does woodworking stuff on TV... it usually airs on one of the Discovery Channels. Always takes "a moment to talk about shop safety..." in every show before using power tools.

Edit: beaten to it.

And believe us, he has a power tool for every occasion. It probably helps that he must get given all of his by the manufacturers, together with all the clamps and accessories

Unfortunately, the show tends to assume that everyone has a minimum of a 500 sq.ft. workshop and a similar array of machinery.
