Last night, put sliced mushrooms, onions and potatoes into a baking dish.
made some cheese sauce with extra sauce, extra cheese and a tsp of course ground mustard.

poured the sauce over the veg and bunged in the over covered with foil.
kept stirring occasionally so the potatoes would cook without the top going black.

when the potatoes were cooked topped with more cheese and let the cheese melt.

Would have been better with ham in.

swmbo and i are about to tuck into a BOGOF 15" mexican hot pizza (when the delivery boy brings it :D)

Parmigiana is flatten lamb-wrap it in cling film and bash it flat with a rolling pin. Then give it a dusting of flour, dip it in beaten egg and then dip it in a mixture of breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese and fry it in olive oil for a few minutes either side and finish it in the oven for 15 mins. Very nice indeed. :thumb:

Goes well with red wine or copious amounts of nice homebrew.

SWMBO loves that but with chicken.

A favourite of mine is slice open a chicken breast, stuff with herbs and parmesan cheese, wrap in ham, top with sliced mushrooms and more cheese, wrap in a foil parcel with a glass of white wine (maybe less) then cook in the oven until chicken is done, mmmmm.

serve with cheese stuffed mushrroms and fried asparagus.

Tonight i've eaten smoked Marlin mixed with chilli's, spring onions, lemon juice and Mayo. A lovely dip for crackers. Then some smoked Marlin. Then some fresh Marlin Sashimi with pickled ginger, wasabi and soy.

I feel fat :D

Chicken Dhansak, made lovingly by the Michelin starred Chef at the pub over the road from my house.

Takeaway curry and rice, £5. Winnah!

i'm sat like a fast ******* with legs akimbo on the sofa and having to adjust my belt cos swmbo spent all evening slaving in the kitchen for a romantic belated valentines dinner... a 3kg joint of pork... every bit of fat on it crackled... tatties and veg.... gravy... mmmmmmmm

i'm absolutely stuffed!

infact, dare i say it, i'm now struggling to drink the pint of Sunrise i've just poured

here's to Mrs BrewStew :drink:

swmbo just reminded me that i shouldn't fill myself up completely as i've still got profiteroles to eat :P

i'm such a spoiled git

Yummy

Had a nice 5lb brisket of beef for lunch, cooked overnight for 9 hours at 100 degC then another 3 hours at 150 with a 4 halved onions. dry rubbbed the brisket with corriander, pepper, fennel seed ,chilli flakes, sea salt and smoked paprika wrapped it up in tin foil and added a big slug of worcester sauce before sealing up tight.

Dished it up with fresh picked courgettes, cavalo nero, purple carrots, new potatoes and roasted baby beets, twas the ********.

I am now looking forward to using the left over beef to make hot beef baguettes with fried onions and mushrooms served up with big fat juicy chips fried in beef dripping, tommorrow night when I get back in from work yum yum yum.
