what is the best way to prepare/clean bottles before bottleing my brew ?

hi how much wizzoxi per pint of water please
just starting brewing after many years
collecting every bottle I can at the moment before I make my first brew
its a wilko cerveza Mexican so don't want to keg it

I think BigCol's answer is good if your bottles are particularly dirty but for just general cleaning I use 1tsp for 5L of water.

Also if you have hard water (like me) be careful soaking glass (bottles) too long as the oxi-clean caused the minerals to precipitate out of the water and cover your glassware with a fine white residue which can be a PITA to remove. When I say too long, I mean overnight. With my hard London water I would never soak anying glass for more than two hours and generally find 40 mins to do the job on most beer realated crud removal
 
I use a couple of tsp of sanitiser in about three gallons of water and batch sanitise the bottles, making sure they are clean first. The sanitising solution usually lifts any residual nasties anyway.

Rinse with water from the hot tap and onto the bottle tree.

I've done this on umpteen brews and never had any problems
