hello

mines been in the bucket for 11 days and now in the keg in a warm place for 7 days and now in a cold place fore a couple ... i know it will clear in the next few weeks but what the difference ? is all the alcohol that will be there already there ?

will it just not taste as nice ?

would opening the tap to much bugger it up at this point ?

cheers d :)

You go straight to a Bud lite filled hell!!!!

im interested in trying a drop here and there to see how it chances but not touching it if it will knacker it

i know im finding reason to play with it :) , will start the new kit very soon to keep my self bizzy . i built loads of kit in to a wardrobe today with lights and insulation so am looking forward to round two . .. just need 37 more bottles :)

will it get fizzyer the longer you leave it ?

No consequents for drinking green beer except you miss out on knowing how tasty it gets when it's been aged.

Sounds like its time to start a pipeline.

I tend to leave my brews for 3 months before I drink them, I have a pint or two after a month for heath and safety reasons and then really tuck in at around 12 weeks.

The longer you leave it the better it will get :drunk:

yeah but if you've naught to drink but shop bought then its very tempting to sample a few until you get a nice stock with a constant supply of matured beer. Go on try a few you know you want to :drink:

I've never managed to get ahead of myself enough to have a 3 month beer pipeline. Most of mine gets drunk at 4-6 weeks.

Good example is keg 1 ran dry literally as I was cleaning and racking a beer into keg 2. I only have 2 kegs so that freshly racked beer will be started on as soon as it is carbonated in a few days time. It had 2 weeks on the primary and a further 10 days in the secondary with a big handful of cascades to dry hop.

Tastes amazing now but know it would be so much better in a month or two !

Guess I will never know :D

must agree.

hold off untill you know its good, make more and more and more untill you have good stock, conditiond stock that is. spend a month drinking in the pub bragin to everyone how much beer you have brewed yourself then you will discover how much better your beer is and will be plenty full and never will want to drink in a pub again.

To add to that I have brewed three times in the past 10 days (19L brewlengh) in a bid to start at building up some sort of beer buffer so I am drinking it a little later!!!

I tend to start on my brew a couple of weeks after bottling, 10 days in the warm 4 days in the cold, but must admit that they are just getting there (taste and fizz wise) when the last few bottles are left

Give it a few more weeks, unless you have nowt to drink?

thanks chaps :) i had a little tiny tester
