Well it seems like just a couple of weeks ago I was shooting my mouth off about what good ciders I could make and now it seems I've turned out some quite remarkably average stuff. I mean, it's still probably better than I could go purchase but not by much and not like drinking a cloud like I was mysteriously, miraculously producing. Anybody else identify with that losing your mojo feeling?

Very much had the same when I was first brewing beer and I fell into a 'hole' where I didn't really want to share my beer as it didn't seem that good and I worried I was imposing it in people.

I stopped brewing for a bit (mainly due to covid stopping play) but after a few bought beers I realised I loved my brews again. I've def done some duffs along the way, but find strictly following recipes and keeping notes really helps.

I bake bread most weeks, and similarly there find I can get lucky and make a great bread or a bad bread, but the best consistent bread is when I stick carefully to the recipe. The thing is, I have a very hard time doing that!

Where were you "shooting your mouth off" as this is your first post.
