I keep reading that if you use Potassium Sorbate without Campden tablets (I think that is the combo,) your wine will taste like geraniums. I am sure loads of people have created such a wine, but I wonder who went 'My wine tastes strange, I think I will eat some of the plants in my garden to find out which one is similar' :? :?

No idea. This is advice I have read from people whose winemaking knowledge and experience I respect, so I have passed it on without testing the statement. As I detest the smell of those plants I'm not about to go and chew one to see what it tastes like.

I've tasted them and they taste exactly how they smell ... its a very 'typical' flower-taste. Best avoided. Bleurgh!
